Merry Xmas 2023. With so many worthy charities to donate to, it’s difficult to decide on just one. I’ll choose Beyond Blue. Thank you.

Lovely thought for Christmas giving! I was wondering if the Far North Qld flood victims would qualify this year? There is such devastation in the area and many people in need.
Thought I would share a Christmas poem with you. It was always recited by my Grandmother as she prepared the Christmas pudding.
She stirred our puddin'
I saw her do it
Using her silver shoe.
Then away she flew
By way of the dairy
But think of our puddin'
Stirred by a fairy!
Oh can it,
Oh can it be true?
Have a wonderful Christmas all!
Thankyou for sharing this poem. So much truth when you think about it, so many memories.

Merry Christmas everyone. I would like to say thank you for the fruitcake recipe given recently, the one with the Baileys. It turned out so well - and so easy. My husband has just about polished off the first one I made so I’ve just made another that hopefully will get to Christmas lol. I’d like to nominate Animal aid as the charity, they always need help around this time of year

The Seniors Discount Club Christmas Charity Fundraiser!

Hello Seniors Discount Club Community!

We're thrilled to announce our very special charity event, designed with you, our vibrant community of Australians over 65, in mind. It's simple, meaningful, and a way for us all to give back together.

Thank you for being a part of the Seniors Discount Club community. Let's make this a heartwarming success! This charity drive will end at 11.59pm on Thursday, the 21st December, at which point we'll run a poll for 48 hours on the top 5 most requested charities.
I'd love if you could give to Edgar's Mission. It's in Victoria and gives a huge range of animals a new life.

Merry Christmas Happy New Year.

My vote goes again to Aust. Zoo Wildlife Warriors

Thank you SDC and everyone that contributes in some way to make it worthwhile reading posts on this site to keep us informed, brings joy to our days, brings fear and uncertainty at times, and upsets us occasionally - but mostly thanks to everyone who makes this site a pleasure to be a part of.

My charity is to be decided by the SDC team because there are too many worthy of our help.

Merry Christmas to everyone - I’ve disagreed with some attitudes, some grumbling, some unacceptable language, and a lot of whinges but I hope absolutely everyone of you spends your Christmas Day & the New Year with those you love, thinking lovingly of those no longer with you perhaps, and doing what you want to do, how you want to do that and just having a day that you alone will remember.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

Everyone of those Charitable Organisations Are worthy Recipients. Some of the messages go to the Matthew Tablet for the Homeless
So it will go to the Charity who has the most votes for it ? May the most choice
suggested message be helpful to make a difference to whoever it goes too. Bye

What a wonderful idea, thank you for doing this for us. I would nominate it go to a Children's Hospital.

It's a very sad time of the year when people are on their own losing a loved one or family abroad. I would like to see a donation made to a Community Christmas Lunch. We have them on the Gold Coast and they do a fantastic job with meals and gifts for homeless and people with no family's. That is where I will be volunteering on Christmas day.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy New Year to everyone.

I have no preference other than than the assurance that it will be used for the charities works and not dissappear in somebodies pocket as a business expense as happens and we all know it.

I want to say the RFDS, but I really think Matthew Talbot Hostel is an excellent charity, especially at this time of year.
