The SECRET $7 Kmart plant box hack that will leave your garden looking posh — “I’m gonna do it!”

Let's be honest, although very rewarding, maintaining a garden can be an overwhelming task. Between watering, weeding, and fertilizing, who has time for anything else?

If you're looking for an easier way to keep your garden flourishing with little to no effort, then we’ve got fantastic news for you!

TikTok user Christina has recently gone viral after she shared a little-known gardening hack using an unlikely Kmart item.

In her video, the gardening enthusiast reveals that she used a $5 Glass Candle Centrepiece Box from the budget retailers and replaced the candles inside it with tiny white pebbles, which you can also purchase from Kmart for $2.

Christina suggests making sure that the bottom layer is filled with white pebbles so the plant that you will place on it will have good support.

The TikTok user then uproots four tiny potted succulents from their respective pots and places them to the pebbled layer.

Finally, she fills the box with the remaining pebbles until all of the roots are covered in them.

And the results? A posh-looking planter box that will surely impress your guests and loved ones!

The video gained traction on TikTok, amassing more than 62,000 videos and over 4,000 likes from users who left rave comments for the hack.

One user wrote: "So clever!! I love it!"

"This would be beautiful as a centrepiece on an outdoor setting," another quipped.

A third chimed in: "I'm gonna do it ... thanks for the idea."

The hack, which was dubbed as "mess-free" by most users, caught the attention of a professional gardener who praised Christina for her inventive tip.

He wrote: "I grow and sell plants ... that is super cool."

"Such a creative and stunning idea!"

Well, folks, it turns out that you don't really need a green thumb to step up your gardening game.

This word "hack" is being done to death. All these people are doing is repurposing and up-cycling items. I just wish I had the imagination to visualise what something could become. To me a milk carton is a milk carton!!:(

How often do you have to change the succulents? I know they are hardy and dont need much, but without any soil or water at all... I suppose every few months?

I grow succulents, but always in special succulent potting mix, not sure how long they would survive without anything other than pebbles. Might look good for a short while for a display or something, but not for the long term.

I would have put stones in base & succulent mix on top then plant in soil & top with more stones.Succulents need soil to survive.I have done this with an old fish aquarium with succulents & elephant ears & have been growing for years.
