Queen Elizabeth II, the world’s oldest and longest-reigning monarch, has admitted that she was having difficulties in moving around, when she received visitors at Windsor Castle on Tuesday.

This was the 95-year-old royal’s first in-person engagement since her son, Prince Charles, tested positive for COVID-19.

Earlier this week, the Queen met with outgoing Defence Services Secretary Rear Admiral James Macleod, as well as Major General Eldon Millar, who is taking over the position, at Windsor Castle.

In a video of the meeting, the royal can be seen cheerfully greeting her esteemed guests as they entered the room. When the two men paused by the entrance and asked her how she was, she simply pointed to her left leg and replied: “Well, as you can see, I can’t move.”

The Queen can be seen holding a walking cane in one hand while trying to shuffle forward, so the two gentlemen instead took the initiative to walk towards her to shake her hand.

The trio then proceeded to share a light-hearted conversation, with the two military men congratulating the Queen on the start of her jubilee year. They also talked about her corgi, Candy, who was keeping guard in the corridor.

Last week, Prince Charles pulled out of an event after testing positive for the coronavirus for the second time. It was revealed that his wife, Camilla, also tested positive for the virus.

The Queen was reported to have come into contact with her son two days earlier, but she was not showing any symptoms.

The situation is currently being monitored and Buckingham Palace has declined to elaborate further about the Queen's health.

However, a palace source said that the Queen was simply feeling slightly stiff, rather than being injured or unwell.

Queen Elizabeth 11 is truly amazing.
She vowed to serve her country for as long as she lives.....she is certainly doing that very well.
Sadly, since Prince Philip's death, she appears to be more frail, she seems to have lost some weight. But she still has her beautiful, genuine smile. Long may she reign over us....

Give the poor woman a break. She is 95 years old and amazingly fit for someone that age. She is still very active, works hard and according to all accounts very bright and charming. I think she's amazing.
