The Morning Show hosts mock Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming Netflix docuseries with a parody poster

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shocked the world when they first announced that they were stepping away from their senior royal duties back in January 2020.

Now, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to lift the lid even further on their life as royals in a soon-to-be released docu-series titled 'Harry & Meghan'.

The show, which was produced and distributed by Netflix, will explore the span of Harry and Meghan's relationship 'from the early days of the couple's courtship to the challenges and controversies that prompted them to step back from the royal family'.

The docu-series has also drawn criticisms after it included an image of Kate Middleton in its trailer, prompting the royal family to see the show as a 'declaration of war'.

And while we're sure it will be interesting (if not slightly awkward) to watch, The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Sally Bowrey appear less than impressed...

On Thursday's broadcast, the duo released a parody poster for the series titled Larry & Sally, copying the exact pose seen in the official poster of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's show.

The cover photo also features Sally Bowrey and Larry Emdur dressed in clothing similar to the royal couple, with Larry wearing a dark suit with a white button-down shirt and Sally sporting a trench coat.

And the spoof didn't stop there, the TV personalities also added a very sarcastic and tongue-in-cheek caption on their Instagram post.

The caption read: 'Netflix has another controversial docuseries ready to drop, and our own Larry Emdur is set to reveal what *really* happens behind the scenes at The Morning Show.'

Larry also posted the same photo on his Instagram account, joking: 'Immediately after Harry & Meghan watch our controversial new documentary Larry & Sally.'

'I blow the lid on all the horrible things The Firm has forced me to do like Celebrity Splash and Dancing with the Stars.'

The TV hosts received a barrage of comments from users who praised the exquisite parody and admitted they'd rather watch Larry's series than the real one.

One person wrote: 'Much more compelling viewing.'

'Would definitely be more entertaining,' another added.

A third chimed in: 'You are sure to get nominated for an Emmy Award!'

The post has captured the attention of other media personalities, including Sunrise's Edwina Bartholomew who wrote: 'Not long before you and Haz have the same haircut @larryemdur.'

I would sooner watch Larry and Sally than that other crap. It’s simply making a mockery out of Harry and Meghan who wanted a quiet life away from the media and have done everything but by making sure the photographers are about.

Why do Australian TV "personalities"(loose term as there are none around at the moment) want to jump on the band wagon and ridicule other people's thoughts and beliefs .
Everyone has been on the royalist side for years and think they can do no wrong . Enter Harry & Meagan. Stating their side of the family and everyone is condemning them .
There is not a family on this planet that is perfect , so why is everyone against the couples statements .
Lomg live Harry & Meagan.

Absolute crap! James Hewitt did a DNA & proved he wasn’t Harry’s father! Furthermore Diana didn’t meet James Hewitt until 2 years after Harry was born! This comment by the uninformed continually annoys the hell out of me!! Don’t comment on hearsay’s, get the facts!! Furthermore Harry looks like his Granfather!

My husband just said "don't bother reading the news, it's all about Harry and Meghan'. Well, i certainly wont be watching the Netflix show either. How can people possibly feel sorry for them? Didn't they pocket something like $100 million for this rubbish? Wish they would just fade away.

Why does the whole world keep pandering to this couple? They stepped away from Royal life as they wanted more privacy, why aren't we giving it to them? We all already know what these programs are going to contain, whinging about lack of privacy, lack of protection, the need to conform etc. etc. Let's all give them the privacy they say they crave and not watch this stuff. ;)

I'm sure Larry & Salley will be more entertaining than Harry & Meagan in their version of 'Payton Place'. Personally, I just want to put my finger down my throat and move on! They've already had far too much media hype, and I'm sure that most of us are over them. Leave them to get on with their 'right royal games' in private -

It’s all very well that some continue to demand that we give them the privacy they seek, yet they (Harry and Meghan) are the ones continuing to seek out public attention! Have you asked yourselves why they are being paid so handsomely for this docu-series? It’s because we, the general public, are lapping it up! If we give them their much sought after ‘privacy’, there will be no market for their stories, and they’ll just fade away and get all the ‘privacy’ they deserve! We can only blame ourselves that they keep showing up in the media. They LOVE it, because it gives them an income, that they would otherwise be sorely missing.

Why are so many people getting their panties in a tangle over Prince Harry and his wife. If they want to have their say about what happened behind castle walls let them. I personally won’t be watching Netflix . Tabloids and people who know absolutely nothing have called them liars and the one that got me was that Prince Harry was upset because he will never be King. Everything over the years that I have read is that he never wants that role and he feels sorry for his father and brother being stuck in that groove. To the ones who say take away their title I say what has it got to do with you.

I personally don't subscribe to any viewing that requires me to pay to watch the content. So I will not be watching it at all, I am just sick of the hype they create about themselves. Who cares? I most certainly don't I would love to watch the alternative with Larry & Sally in it, would be a great giggle!

They behave just like spoilt brats who did not get what they wanted. l just turn off mentally every time l see them now. They have said all along they do not want publicity so why do they keep their bratish behaviour going - to make money from publicity. ????

Well said Chezna, good to quote facts.

Harry & his Grandfather have a strong lookalike appearance. As for H @ M wanting privacy I doubt it. They act up to every cameraman so it's up to us to relieve ourselves from the least interest in them. Media is to blame. Just close all doors to being interested in them & hip hip hooray! Give them the privacy they are supposed to be seeking to get them out of MY life. I got them out until newspapers & money of course speaks all languages. I would head for a quiet island only they'd find some way to drive me nuts. When money is earnt by kicking people in the mouth who clothed & fed you, sooner or later bad deeds show up in great force, you mark my words. It takes two to tango, SO, they deserve one another. They are "users" & still think they are riding high. Karma speaks otherwise. Every schemer has his day. I wish I could get an extension on my years because , on my last journey I'd love to know how they will end up. You cannot expect things to go right in life without Loyalty and Respect. The latter you cannot teach. YOU EARN IT.
