I have never understood why it is called the bathroom it's a toilet there is no bath in a toilet so why is it called a bathroom they're two different rooms for two different purposes, I will never understand why it's referred to as a bathroom.

Depending on the location:

Little Girls' Room (hotel, pub, restaurant)
or
The Loo (family)
or
Thunderbox (in naval company /on ship)
or
The Bathroom (friend's house)
On ship also called "the head"

Had some friends who lived in old inner city house, they were asked by a visitor where the Bathroom was. Left at the hall and second door on right.
BUT if you want the toilet, then right at the hall and last door! 😁
