When people ask me, "Do you have a toilet?". instead of, Where is the toilet?"
I tell them, "No, we shit in the yard!"

My father always says to someone who has announced they're going to the toilet... "Mention my name and you'll get a good seat!"
And, to a bloke, "If you shake it more than once, you're playing with it!"

PS: I say it to my friends too (You can't blame me, can you!)

On ship also called "the head"

Had some friends who lived in old inner city house, they were asked by a visitor where the Bathroom was. Left at the hall and second door on right.
BUT if you want the toilet, then right at the hall and last door! 😁
True enough. Older houses are like us older folk; idiosyncratic. Most people I know are in modern houses and have 3 toilets: one in the ensuite bathroom, one in the main bathroom, then one guest toilet downstairs or in the laundry.

My brother used to say he was going to the shoe wash station, and he excused his habit by saying there was urea in foot cream and he wanted to cut out the middle man 😱

That is exactly what I would say 2 entirely different rooms, or as I have had it referred to as the smallest room in the house.
