The life-changing cling-wrap HACK everyone should know

Have you ever caught yourself struggling with a piece of cling-wrap? No matter how many times you try to carefully peel out the end of the wrap and smooth out its edges, the film just keeps on sticking to itself?

We have all been there!

Melbourne TikTok user Alice James has revealed her clever hack for smoothly pulling out a sheet of cling wrap from its roll.

The Aussie woman, who shared a video explaining how the hack works, wrote: "BEST HACK EVER! How have we never known this?!"

In the clip, Alice explains: "You know when you're using Glad Wrap ... it kind of falls out of the container ... and gets all tangled?"

She then points out that the rolls have "little hole-tab things" at the end.

Alice says that if you push the tab, it holds the roll secure preventing it from falling when you pull out a sheet of cling wrap.

"So then when you use it, it doesn't fall out anywhere!" she exclaims.

Alice admits that her friend taught her the hack, saying that the genius hack "might change your life".

"Game changer baby!" she says.

The hack became an instant success, with Alice’s video amassing more than 38,000 views and hundreds of comments from TikTok users who are keen to try the hack for themselves.

One person wrote: "I was today years old when I learnt this, omg."

"Game changer! I have put up with this for over 40 years and, yes! You have changed my life. Thank you!" another wrote.

A third chimed in: "Whaaaaaat?! I just checked my Glad-Wrap and it's true! Why did no one tell me this?"

"I just showed my wife this, now she thinks I’m a genius. Thanks," one man quipped.

One person claimed that he has been using the hack for over 20 years, writing: "I learnt this like 20 years ago when I was making my own sandwiches for school. Alfoil has the same thing."

Another user poked fun at the hack, saying: "Welcome to adulthood, you have now passed the final test."

Meanwhile, others shared their tips for accomplishing the task.

When cling film, glad wrap or whatever you want to call it came out originally someone put on TV. (the equivalent then of YouTube etc) a hack that worked. Use clingfilm on single glazed windows as it acts as the secondary glass pane and is quite effective in colder climes than Melbourne.

Now this is a "hack" if it actually works? I do have doubts.

NO need to be rude many older people who don’t think as clearly as you don’t need to be made fun of
