Nothing contentious about it, the quantity used is according to personal choice. My pick would be some where around the 4 to 4.5,with the proviso that there is an adequate layer of BUTTER(not margarine or any blends), to little butter is as grevious a sin as to little vegemite which must be spread evenly over the bread. If having it on SAO biscuits you can be more generous with both butter and vegemite

As an Australian-born resident and early lover of Vegemite, I believe it is everyone to their own choice!! Personally i alter the amount of Vegemite as to whether I am spreading it on fresh bread or toast... so how can one differentiate? Just eat it, enjoy it, and reap the benefits of Vitamin B to complement your health! Oh - use lots of natural Australian Butter like Western Star or you are wasting your Vegemite!!!

My preference is 40% less salt vege.ite via pic 6 - no butter quite thick vegemite. I spread vegemite in place of butter on all breads I consume eg egg and Lettuce sandwich cheese n vegemite, hamburgers, etc . Love it.

This topic could break up families (hahaha)…….my 2 kids have been fighting over this for decades. I can’t even begin to count how many times this topic would come up in the morning. My oldest is firmly a number 3.
My youngest is a number 6. Won’t have it any other way. Not a think layer mind you, but has to have Vegemite crust to crust .
Both think their way Is the best, either way I am just thankful for my happy little Vegemites ( with rosy checks).
