Remember when fish and chips were cut by hand, served generously, and always wrapped in newspaper, dripping with vinegar? Ah, those were the days! What’s your favourite memory of enjoying this classic snack?

What happened to vinegar?
When did people stop using vinegar on their chips and why?
Much nicer than salt!

when mum let me have fish and chips for lunch at school when I was young.six pence worth.unbelievable on today s price s

I still get it at Walla Street Fish and Chip in Bundaberg. The newspaper wrapping has gone, replaced with white but the eats are absolute tops.

Walking home from the movies eating hot chips wrapped in newspaper to keep them warm. Just the best!

Yes i remember well, every second friday dad would go to local shop in Malvern and buy fish , chips wrapped in news paper, no body died or got ill from eating, sometimes i think we have gone to far, shame as it all adds cost to the items, even the new Coles paper bags where handles seperate from bag or the base breaks open, still somebody gets 4175,000.00/ YEAR FOR NEW IDEAS THAT ARE USELESS
