Telstra 'Refund' Scam
Thank you to member Thomas who sent this in...
According to Tom:
"It is a fraudulent email purporting to be from Telstra and saying that your bill account has been double charged and it is asking you to clink on a link and give credit card details to receive a refund.
I have sent the email to Telstra and they said it contained a malware and they will be investigating it.
This is the second time that I have received this type of email so let members be aware, DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS ASKING FOR CREDIT CARD DETAILS!!!
If this email had been legit it would have advised of the payment error and said it would be credited to your next bill
Don’t be complacent with emails like this, don’t open but DELETE without opening."
