Let's talk about the impact your ticket can have.

The Deaf Lottery is an initiative of Deaf Connect*, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. This lottery stands out not only for its impressive prize pool* but also for its commitment to changing lives. By purchasing a ticket, you're contributing to a range of vital services and programs that make a real difference, from social inclusion activities for deaf seniors to vital classroom learning resources for deaf children*.

Deaf Connect* is a registered service provider under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). In the past year alone, Deaf Connect* has clocked over 50,000 hours of support work, facilitated the learning of Auslan for over 4,000 students, and distributed more than $300,000 in grants and sponsorships. These numbers translate into real support, real education, and real empowerment for deaf Australians. Your ticket purchase helps to sustain these efforts*, ensuring that the deaf community continues to thrive.

Now, let's talk about the prizes*!

Deaf Lottery* is known in Australia as the draw with one of the most competitive odds of winning, a guaranteed winner in each lottery* and a limited number of tickets available.

Depending on which prize is chosen, the winner will receive around $800,000 total* to put towards their dream.

Past winners* have used their windfalls to purchase dream homes and luxury cars or even embark on unforgettable travel adventures.

Here’s what the Draw 211 winner had to say*:
‘I actually missed the phone call, so I found out I'd won through my email! Like any sensible Aussie, my first thought was, "Is this some kind of scam?" But after chatting with the Deaf Connect team*, the news really sunk in, and I couldn’t believe I’d won 800K!*
‘Winning the Deaf Lottery* has truly changed my life. With our debts cleared and the mortgage off our minds, my wife and I can finally breathe easy. I can retire from the grind of six-day work weeks, and at our age, that's a game-changer. Now, we savor our quality time and have started looking for a new home to enjoy our retirement in. It's a dream we never thought possible, but here we are, filled with gratitude for this incredible stroke of luck.’ they continued*.

And what about the Draw 214 winner?*
‘This is our first year of marriage, so winning the lottery was like a dream come true. It’s like we’re in the honeymoon phase still, but now our future is set up for life. We're a happy little household, just renting and getting on with life. We love travelling around Australia and hope to enjoy it even more now!’
‘People always say you’ve got to be in it to win it*. You've got to give it a chance. And the best way to do that is to support a charity and win a prize that’s going to a good place.’

Some have even had the extraordinary luck of winning twice*! But regardless of the outcome, every ticket holder can take pride in knowing that their purchase supports the Deaf community, making every entry a win-win situation*.

Lottery No. 216 is set to be drawn on September 19, 2024, and entries close on September 15, 2024*.

With all forms of "Lottery/Powerball" styles of available gambling, just how many tickets do they expect to sell to pay for the prizes ? Sounds like a "Bloody Damned Lot" to me. This is b4 they make a profit to share around as they claim they'll do.

Better than giving it to a dipshit "organisation" like Amnesty International who use the worst form of slave labour - namely volunteers.

All the while, the CEO "earns" a mere USD 1.3 million BEFORE lucrative bonuses for sitting on her fat arse according to Forbes Magazine back in 2018!

Many charities are scum, with much of the donations being diverted to "administration" costs. Which equals to lining their own pockets. Before you say "no way", I personally indulged in such shit, reaping in a few thousand dollars in a month for being a "team leader".

I promptly left in disgust.

If & when I'd be able to make a substancial money gift to a very "Special" deserving charity, I'll get a bank cheque made out too & mailed to that particular charity. e.g., seeing eye dog institution & in Sydney, The Bill Crews organisation. Bill & his crew do an absolutely grand job preparing, cooking & serving up hot meals to the far disadvantaged destituted persons in the city or wherever they maybe from. What I describe as "WORTHY CAUSES".

I hate these because from my experience as soon as you get on their books all sorts of charities start emailing and calling. So I dont bother.

No organisation expects a 'Substantial' donation from anyone other than a business.
Having said that though; two years in a row while collecting in the city for The Salvation Army on their Badge Day l was fortunate enough to receive $100 on each occassion from a young person. He tapped me on the shoulder, l turned & as l did he came from the other side & deposited the donation into my tin.
