Slender Green Orbweaver (Araneus talipedatus)

Just sitting in the garden yesterday hoping the wind would calm down and something of interest would come along to photograph. Saw a slight movement on one of our plants and when I looked closer, this is what I found. The cutest little spider. Pretty close to a full macro (1:1) shot on my D500, she was only about 12-15mm long.
What first caught my eye was the beautiful colours.

Oh my god what a fantastic shot! You’re absolutely right. The colours are breathtaking. I love how the orange spots pop out from the greens.

I guess spiders aren’t as scary as they seem in my head!

I'm still wary of some of the bigger ones but my favourites are Jumping Spiders. They are the most plentiful species there is. Also, the only spider that hunts during daylight hours. They are quite small and seem quite sociable and will jump onto your hand and wander around..
