I know this sounds petty but when my grandchildren ask me if they can have a cookie, l tell them l only have biscuits. And cookies for biscuits; sidewalk for footpath is now even getting traction!

I have used a microwave vegetable steamer for years, I swear I have forgotten how to cook Vegetables using a sauce pan and water, apart from potatoes of course. I have tried to replace it (the steamer) for a few years but cannot find one the same.I steam all my vegies . This is something I might look at purchasing.
I also steam fish and my son steams dumplings.
I currently use a microwave steamer and for larger amounts I use a double steamer on the stove
I don't really see the benefit of this item over a stainless one used on the stove. I mean it still uses electricity. You still have to wash each compartment. You still have to add water. And to top it off it only lasts 2 years? A stainless steal one lasts many years. Plus no doubt other comparisons that I might find were I to purchase one - which I won't.Stay with what you know Suzanne Rose. It will be a large gadget that obviously would get a lot of use with you but if it needs replacing often, then your current methods work for you and dont take up any more space.
