A Woolworths spokesperson told reporters that the supermarket is investigating the incident.
They stated: ‘We take food safety seriously and work closely with pest control services. We’re not aware of any further reports of a similar nature at this time and apologise for this customer experience.’
It is believed that Woolworths Southbank has a range of measures to deter rodents.
