Share an unforgettable gesture you received đź’•

Hey there, members! Would you look at that—it’s Friday already? I hope your afternoon is filled with fruity fun. A family friend of ours stopped by and surprised us with a whole basket of fruit. What a sweet surprise! It got me thinking: what’s a nice gesture you’ve received that you can’t forget? Share your stories here. I’m excited to read all about those thoughtful surprises.

As a teenager in early 1970, with no thought for my own welfare, I saved two children from drowning at the beach….
Their parents wanted to know who I was and where I lived as they wanted to give me something for saving their children…I just told them that the children were in trouble and I knew I could save them, and I did not do it for any reward!!
About a month later, both families arrived at my parents home with a silver bangle., for me. Which I still have, albeit very well worn

Several years ago I was working with adults with non-vocational barriers to employment. After suing one gentleman for almost 12 months he came in with a present for me. Presents were not permitted so I had to get the gift approved.
The gift: a large barb wire spider!
The reason: the first time anyone had cared for him.
My spider sits on a window sill and has done so for several years.
