Remember when every home had a sewing basket like this? Back in the '60s, they were a treasure trove of embroidery threads, buttons, and mystery odds and ends. Do you still have one of these? Share your memories here.

I could swear this is the basket that I have in the cupboard that was my mums. I still use needles and cotton from it when I need to put a button on shirt. Wow, I am not just the only one. A little keep sake from a past generation. It is a bit like a museum piece.

I have two original 1960's fabric (quilted) sewing baskets. Don't use them often as most I my clothes now do not have buttons. Just something in the cupboard "just in case".
