Phew makes me think of 1964/5 arriving in Finsbury Hostel Grand Junction Road, ripe off the Castel Felice from Southhampton!! What a shock but we got over it ……

We arrived 3rd of May 65 at Pennington/Finsbury Hostel,
and a couple of days later Mum joined the office staff there for about 10 years, working between Glenelg and Finsbury Hostels.
We arrived in Melbourne because the P&O ship Canberra was too big for Outer Harbour, then the Overland Train to Adelaide.
