The trouble is, the chemistry question is wrong. At normal atmospheric pressure, carbon stays solid at tungsten's melting point but sublimes (turns directly from solid to gas) at 3642 degrees C.

I also thought tungsten, but I answered all the other questions first and came back to it and tapped Carbon instead of Tungsten….

As a very naive young girl, I wandered into a lingerie boutique in The Australia Arcade in Melb. Loved the pretty colours, lace, frills etc but was horrified to find holes in both panties and bras. A very serious male attendant gently suggested I shouldn't shop there.

My mother in law purchased 6 pairs of very fine lace knickers for my just married sister in law. They were on a 75% off sale with no returns. Once home the MIL noticed a hole in one and proceeded to “repair” them then noticed the other 5 were the same. Only then did she realise what she had purchased so she burnt them. She wouldn’t put them in the rubbish as she was worried that somehow they would be found and traced back to her
