The correct answer to Question 8 is mid-Spring to early-Summer. Wheat ripens according to the latitude at which it is grown. For example, my son - a contract harvester - has just finished harvesting a 6,000 acre crop in Southwest Queensland. Late October. When we lived in Victoria's Mallee my husband would begin harvesting wheat in mid-November. The late-Summer early-Autmn harvest occurs at higher latitudes - John Keats's 'Ode To Autumn' pays tribute to the harvesters working in the autumn sun.
