Question 1: If a computer file has the extension '.mp3', what does this usually indicate?

MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3) is a widely used digital audio encoding format that compresses audio files while maintaining good sound quality, making them suitable for storage and sharing.

Question 2: If an object's velocity is zero, what can be concluded about its acceleration?

An object with zero velocity could either be at rest (zero acceleration) or it could be instantaneously at rest while changing direction (non-zero acceleration). For example, a ball thrown straight up has zero velocity at its peak, but it still has acceleration due to gravity.

Question 3: Which area of the brain plays a central role in the formation of memories?

The hippocampus, located in the temporal lobe of the brain, is essential for the formation and consolidation of new memories, particularly declarative memories (facts and events). It also plays a role in spatial navigation and learning.

Question 4: When was Michael Jackson's album "Thriller" released?

Michael Jackson's iconic album "Thriller" was released on November 30, 1982. It became the best-selling album of all time, with estimated sales of 66 million copies worldwide. The album features hit singles like "Billie Jean," "Beat It," and the title track "Thriller."

Question 5: How many minarets does the Taj Mahal have?

The Taj Mahal, an iconic mausoleum in Agra, India, features four minarets, one at each corner of the structure. These minarets, reaching a height of 40 meters (130 feet), are an integral part of the Taj Mahal's architectural design and are said to symbolically guard the tomb.

Question 6: Which country is the origin of the alcoholic beverage sake?

Sake, also known as nihonshu, is a traditional Japanese alcoholic beverage made from fermented rice. It has been produced in Japan for over a thousand years and plays a significant role in Japanese culture and cuisine.

Question 7: Which Greek philosopher is known for the famous saying, "I know that I know nothing"?

This saying is a paradox that encapsulates Socrates' approach to philosophy. It suggests that the realization of one's own ignorance is the beginning of wisdom. Socrates, often through dialogue, aimed to expose the limits of human knowledge.

Question 8: Why is water often referred to as the "universal solvent"?

Water is called the "universal solvent" because it has the ability to dissolve a wide range of substances, more than any other liquid. This is due to water's polarity and its ability to form hydrogen bonds with other substances.

Question 9: Which ancient civilization built the Machu Picchu citadel?

Machu Picchu, a 15th-century Inca citadel located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru, is the most famous remnant of the Inca civilization. The Incas built this impressive complex around 1450 AD at the height of their empire, but it was abandoned just over 100 years later during the Spanish conquest.

Question 10: How many distinct species are estimated to exist in the plant kingdom?

According to recent estimates, there are over 390,000 known plant species in the world, with many more yet to be discovered and classified. This vast diversity is a result of plants adapting to various environments over millions of years of evolution.

well my mind went huh went I read the answer to quesiton 2: then after it got out of its stunned "zero or non-zero"state and thought about it - it made sense. However, I read the question as the object was not moving at all, so hence I chose answer 1 - never though that the acceleration could be zero or non-zero while it was changing direction - aaaah the complexity of simple questions - when will I ever learn not to take all questions at face value.
