Abbey Road's recording wasn't finalised until 20 August 1969. John Lennon also objected to the US involvement in the Vietnam War but his marijuana conviction? I really don't think so. Even the notion that The Beatles were too big for the venue had been suggested and they had stopped touring well before the holding of Woodstock.
