I'm giving up on your "trivia" If you sail due East from Brazil you hit the coast of Africa, not Portugal which is 1,000's of kilometers to the North.
Marg. Taking in the spherical shape of the Earth, the Axis Tilt & Rotation it becomes due east. I believe there is a straight line of Navigation to circumnavigate the World.

I don't think Q7 is correct. Brazil is south of the equator and the countries given as possible answers are north of the equator. If you travel due East from Brazil, then you would arrive in Gabon in Africa. Portugal is the closest northern country from there in the answers to choose from.

Not sure Africa is part of Europe. Granted the question was sailing due east but also said what European country (Europe is by no means due east, North Easterly would be the more appropriate form for the question.

Have a look at a Mercator projection map of the world. Due east from Brazil lands you in Angola, Gabon and a couple of other lesser West African countries.

The Earth's axis tilts at 23.5 degrees. For Portugal to be due east from Brazil would require at least twice that tilt!
