Venus is similar in size to Earth but the composition? Nah....I'd say that a supposedly dominated atmosphere of carbon dioxide is nothing like our 78% nitrogen dominated atmosphere. It seems that any probes sent to the surface of Venus sizzled quite quickly and little is known about the surface's composition.

I went for the "closest to Earth" option, which itself is contentious. Venus can be as close as 41 million kilometres from Earth or as far as 208 million kilometres away, depending on "when". Mercury and Mars can be closer at the ideal time.
