Scams

Watch out for male-initiated phone call which requires you to open your bank account while you are on the phone. Later he asks for a second device to be used. This enables the person to hack into your account. Transfers out of your account are enabled by the hacker being able to view bank consent on the second device. Certainly, do not stay on the phone for more than a few minutes. This is certainly a scam.

No, but the voice sounded to be from the sub-continent - India? Although with a very good Australian accent. The phone was a mobile. The name on the bank transfers was Raddhi Sagar.

Always remember if someone asks you to provide any of your info, it's better to ask them for their name and call into the financial institution and ask to speak to them. People can pretend to do security checks with you and then use that info to access your accounts.

They tried the same with me with my Amazon delivery and account - they nearly got me - You should NEVER download a website /software or let someone access your computer form another place. They will get into your profile and access all your software accounts including your bank, government and medicare accounts. They will steal your money and your identity information. Don't trust ANYONE!
