Scam phone call
I just received a scam call, they don’t themselves, no company name. They claim my international account has been compromised (I don’t have one) requesting I press 1 to contact call (scam)) centre. Just hang up.

Ah, dear... Good catch, @Snowdogsii! That sounds quite dodgy, and was definitely an attempt to scam you. Please continue being wary of random phone calls, and good on you for alerting everyone as well!
Just had a call from "Telstra" about "illegal activity" on my internet. So I decided to string those idiots along for the fun of it.
The first person told me that scammers were breaking into my internet and she would help me to clean it up. Then she asked whether I was using a mobile phone, tablet, laptop or desktop to access the internet. I told her it was a tablet (haven't used one for years).
She asked me to open it, so I told her that I had done so. Then she asked me what I saw on the screen and to open Google. I told her I could not see Google. So she passed me to her supervisor who again told me there was illegal activity on my internet and asked if I could see Google. I told her I could see nothing on my iPad and she told me that the iPad was not a tablet (since when?) and whether I had an iPad or a tablet. I told her it was and iPad, so she asked me if it had the Apple logo on the back. I confirmed it did - of course the only device in my hand was the phone (landline) on which I received the call.
She then asked what I could see on the screen, I told her nothing, the screen was black. She told me to turn on the iPad, I told her I was trying to, but it wouldn't turn on, probably because I had not used it for a couple of weeks. She told me to find the charging cable and to insert it in the iPad. After a while I said that I had found the charging cable and had plugged it into the iPad, but didn't know why it was just hanging there loose.
At that point, she handed me over to her manager, who again took me through the whole crap the previous two did. I then asked why I was doing all that and he explained to me that there were hackers in overseas organisations that were hacking into my iPad to extract personal information.
My response was: "So you are not criminals in overseas organisations attempting to steal information from me? F**k off you f**ing idiot!
If nothing else, I have manged to "waste" a few minutes of their time in which they could not prey on other people!
