Say goodbye to packing problems with this 'game-changing' travel item!

Taking a trip somewhere new and exciting is without a doubt one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things that life has to offer.

But let's face it: no one enjoys the process of packing for a trip nearly as much as they enjoy their time away from home.

It's a tedious, stressful process. Not to mention, the anxiety of having to decide what to pack and how to fit it all in your bag can somewhat dampen your anticipation for your trip.

Even if you don't end up wearing all of the clothes, accessories, and shoes you bring on holiday with you, it's still important to have a variety of options.

When it comes to packing belongings into bags, many people simply fold their clothes, stuff them inside, and cross their fingers that everything will fit. (We're guilty of this one…)

But did you know there's a better way to make the most of the space in your bags?

We present to you the "ultimate" travel trick that has been going viral on social media – packing cubes!

Despite the fact that these items have been around for a long time, some people have only recently discovered them.

Vera Cai, a food, fashion, and travel blogger on social media, recently shared her discovery on TikTok.

"I just solved the biggest problem I have with packing," she said. Then, she proceeded to showcase how amazing the packing cubes she bought from Amazon are.

In the video, Vera went on to say that she managed to fit seven jumpers into one of the cubes, eight shirts into another, and two weeks' worth of socks and underwear into one of the cubes that was slightly smaller in size.

"My suitcase has never looked so empty before. It's so organised, like so freaking organised. I know exactly where everything is," she added.

The packing cubes are available for purchase on Amazon Australia for $27.99 and come in a set of eight, which includes: one bra and underwear bag, one flat pocket, one drawstring pocket, one shoe bag, one cosmetic bag, and three different sizes of clothing storage bags.

As of today, Vera's video on TikTok has been viewed more than 285,000 times, and thousands of her fellow travellers have commented on their experiences with the packing item, describing it as a "lifesaver" and "game-changer".

"I packed my entire closet and six pairs of shoes for a three-month move and packing cubes is a lifesaver," one woman wrote, with another adding, "I'm glad you discovered packing cubes!! I've been using them for years and they're a total game-changer!"

Packing cubes have been available from KMart for quite some time. I got mine there a long time ago.

My suitcase packing hack has been to leave it all to hubby!! He has always been able to pack two suitcases worth of stuff into one and I don't even have to sit on it to close it.:)

A friend recommended them to me years ago, I used them a few times but dont like them. They end up like unmatching puzzle pieces in my suitcase, with empty spots in between. I find I fit more in without using them!

The vertical folding is the best. All my clothes in drawers at home are folded this way. Takes up way less room, you can see everything and it stays neat and tidy.

Never used packing cubes - but they seem like a good idea. My packing tip is to roll all my clothes instead of folding them - you get more in and they don’t get creased because they are tightly rolled.
