Save big at Coles as the supermarket's cheese blocks go on sale

As the cost of living continues to climb, many Australians are feeling the pinch when it comes to their weekly grocery bills.

There's good news on the horizon for cheese lovers!

Coles, one of the nation's leading supermarkets, recently announced a significant price cut on one popular product, making this dairy delight more affordable for households nationwide.

Coles started cutting the price of their 1 kg Cheese Blocks by $4.40, bringing the cost down from $13.90 to just $9.50.

This 12-week deal is a part of Coles' commitment to help Aussies manage their budgets without compromising on quality or taste.

Coles fully funded the price cut, ensuring that hardworking dairy farmers would not be affected by the sale.

The decision to reduce cheese prices came after a Coles survey, which revealed that over 40 per cent of customers prefer buying block cheese over the pre-sliced or shredded counterparts.

Australians love their cheese versatile—whether it's Colby, tasty cheddar, or Australian light cheddar—and Coles included all types of cheese blocks in their price reductions.

Anna Croft, Coles' Chief Commercial Officer, emphasised the supermarket's dedication to customer savings.

'We are absolutely committed to lowering the cost of everyday essentials for our customers,' Croft stated.

'We have further invested in putting another family staple in our Down Down pricing range to offer greater value for longer.'

The Coles' cheese block has been a family favourite and is famous for its versatility.

According to the supermarket's research, one out of three Australians shared their favourite way to enjoy cheese: cheese toasties.

However, it can be sliced and diced for family lunches, grated over hearty bakes, or enjoyed with crackers for a satisfying snack.

Saputo Dairy Australia proudly makes Coles' cheese blocks in Cobram, Victoria.

This ensures that every sale of the Coles' cheese blocks supports the Australian dairy industry.

So, it's time to take advantage of this fantastic offer.

Stock up on these cheese blocks and get creative in the kitchen without worrying about your wallet.

Whether you're a fan of the classic cheese toastie or you're looking to add a cheesy twist to your meals, Coles' price cut is here to make your culinary endeavours more enjoyable.

This deal is for a limited time only, so head to your nearest Coles and fill your trolley with this dairy essential.

I bought Coles cheese but I don't like it, it bends when you are cutting it, I am not keen on the taste either tried another brand and found it to do the same and taste the same as Coles so now I have to chase Bega from a second shop, Not Happy Jan, can buy the smaller block but I go through a lot of cheese and prefer the larger on as it's cheaper, getting very upset with coles taking out a lot of Australian products and I have been a longggg time customer and ex employee of coles.

My hubby is a cheese lover and prefers the Coles Tasty cheese over Woolies so he'll be a happy boy. My issue is: I'd love to see the supermarkets lower pricers on what I call healthy staples. Things like fruit and vegetables, meat and chicken, milk etc ... WITHOUT passing it on and paying farmers and cattle and chicken people less. Use up a little of your profits Coles and Woolies to help out the Australian people ... you can afford it!

I often buy the tasty light cheese block, and always use a cheese slicer. People toss them and you can often find an unused cheese slicer in op shops, however they aren't an expensive item. The smaller sized cheese block is double the price which is crazy.
Some months ago, I purchased an Integra Maison Marble Base Wire Cheese Cutter on special for $25 from the Kitchen Warehouse, Melville, Perth. Top buy and it still on sale, dropped from about $40.

There are plenty of other good quality cheeses to purchase. I like Jarlsberg as well, but never need to buy a kilo.
Yes, there are nice, quality cheeses and I buy them when on special. I purchase Jalsberg lite slices when they are reduced. The unit price is frightening @ $56/kilo, so won't buy it at that normal price for 150gr.
