Saucy Sausages under $4.50 a serve

If I'm eating this, I leave out the mushrooms, my family love the added mushrooms.
I always serve this with mashed potato and peas
  • Easy
  • 0:10 Prep
  • 0:20 Cook
  • 4 Servings

Ingredients

  • 8 sausages
  • 1 onion thinly sliced
  • 2 bacon rashers diced
  • 1/2 red capsicum diced
  • 4 mushrooms sliced

Method

  1. Fry the sausages until brown, remove from the pan and cut into 1.5cm sized chunks.
  2. Fry the onion, bacon and capsicum for 5 minutes. Return the sausages to the pan with the mushrooms and the can of soup.
  3. Simmer for 20 minutes until the vegetables and sausages are cooked.

I find the thin sausages the best to buy - beef, pork and chicken from Woolies - I use them for one pot meals like this and there are so many variations to the dish - just like this recipe with sausages and soup which is one I haven't thought of to try - great!

thank you, we love snags and are happy to pay a little extra instead of buying the endless supply of BBQ snags on offer. I usually serve with mash and baked beans, nothing fancy in that and husband loves it, I will try this recipe for something a bit different.
