Sam Mac reveals 'Mac-jestic' backyard renovation

If you look at the Instagram posts of Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac and his gorgeous family on any given day, you won't be shocked to hear that the TV star and his loved ones live a pretty, picture-perfect life.

While Sam is already well-known for his wit and charm (not to mention, his rather unpredictable and cheeky antics), it looks like the weatherman also has some serious DIY skills!

Earlier this week, the Mac family took to social media to share the stunning before-and-after photos of a DIY backyard transformation project that Sam had just completed at his home.

For an entertaining take on the renovation process, Sam shared a detailed video of him trying his hand at gardening, enlisting the help of some friends and, of course, his ever-dependable father-in-law, Phil.

'After 37 trips to Bunnings we got everything we need, so I start to make superfluous noise,' said the presenter. 'It's my age-old strategy for seeming more productive than I actually am. Never fails!'

From laying out the turf and planting all manner of shrubs and trees, to building a permanent outdoor entertaining section, the transformation was nothing short of a 'Mac-jestical' feat.

'Our backyard was now a Mac-yard,' Sam Mac said as soon as the construction was finished. 'Lush lawns, a plethora of plants, and flowers that were actually alive…'

'The champagne was cold and the barbie was sizzling, We were finally ready to entertain!'

Sam's green thumb-inspired backyard makeover has been getting rave reviews on social media, with fellow celebrities, friends, and fans alike taking to the comments section to voice their overwhelming appreciation.

'Wow! It looks amazing,' said one user, along with a starstruck emoji.

'You crack me up. Seriously good entertainment. In all seriousness though, job well done. I can imagine how tiring that was. Your Mac-yard looks great guys!' commented another.

'Ripper job!' added a third.

Whether you plan on selling your house in the near future or sprucing it up just for yourself, we reckon that having a few DIY projects here and there would be a great idea.

More importantly, this just goes to show that home improvement doesn't need to be costly. It can simply be a fun and creative way for you to spend quality time with your friends and family.
Key Takeaways

  • Sunrise star Sam Mac wowed his followers on social media after he showed off the results of his impressive DIY backyard transformation.

Not a fan of the TikTok guys, but he’s done a good job. I like when people take good care of their backyard because it makes the house look way better and tells a lot about the person who lives better. I will not listen to any of your advice if you cannot even clean around your house.
It’s not even about what others will think; it’s about the internal order, the order in your thoughts and deeds. The environment you live in directly influences you, and that’s why I always try to keep my house and the backyard as clean as possible. Recently I installed there a small home office from https://www.gardenrooms.scot/offices/, and now it looks even better. I can invite friends there and have a nice time on this little patio.

Love it. I just plants would grow in my yard. Sadly, gets so hot in summer and no trees there. There was one that was much too close to fence, to on fence line and had to be removed. I've even tried growing veggies & herbs in large pot plants and nothing grows.

Having building skills can be extremely useful in a variety of situations. Whether you're remodeling your home, building a new structure, or simply making repairs, having the ability to work with your hands and understand construction techniques can save you time and money. It can also give you a sense of pride and accomplishment when you see your project come to life. I recently repaired the roof and bought all the necessary materials, fasteners screws here https://www.scrooz.com.au/screws/roofing-screws/ and I made the roof myself. Thanks to this, I saved a lot of money.
