First thought, second marriage, each had a daughter born on same day, second thought, it only says same birthday, not birthdate, one is just older in years than the other, but sharing same day as in 29/10.

Jack and Fiona are not parents to both girls...they have one each, so the girls are not sisters.
After choosing my answer (which is still correct), I read the other's answers and to my surprise there are 3 possible correct answers. Great Riddle:D

Parents were married to other partners with whom they each had the girls. Divorced and now married to each other with custody of both girls.

Thanks to member Christine K. Z. for this one!

Jack and Fiona are the parents of two daughters, Betty and Patti. They are not twins; however, they share the same birthday.

How can this be?
both born on the same date but different years

Are we allowed to change our mind? Is so...different families, same birthday...
