well, it's a bit confusing actually. other people (including myself) think a light switch, but as a rule, if the switch is up it is generally "OFF "and if down it is "ON"
 
I cheated and looked at "spoiler" and I go with eyelashes

Clearly I've misread something and should not have put an answer up so soon. My apologies!
 
If I lived in the USA it would be a light switch.
But I live in Australia where the light switches operate the other way so I will go with a circuit breaker.
