@Sherill L.: 'Hooray - back from 4-weeks holiday in the UK visiting my son - I have so missed these riddles. Now, the answer I believe is a stapling machine/stapler; however anyone who has ever allowed a finger in the wrong place at the wrong time with one of these demon machines will attest to it being bloody and painful.'
