Gooood Morning Riddle Masters!

Happy Hump Day :coffee: We hope you're all having a great week so far! So, our second riddle of the week goes:

John went away for three days. He left on Friday and returned on Friday. How did he do this?

This is without a doubt a toughie, so let's see how you all go!

**EDIT! Maddie here, members I'm so sorry! We have a spelling error in our riddle 'He left off Friday' should be 'He left on Friday' I have just edited this now (Wednesday morning) but it is also incorrect in the newsletter, which we will be calling out in tomorrows newsletter! We are so sorry for the mistake!

You misspelt the question, the name of his horse is Friday which he left 'ON' and everyone googles the answer anyway.
Gosh @Leonard Hall that's a big accusation! I don't think everyone Googles the answer! I think a lot of people do their best to try and answer the riddle themselves!

That had me guessing! If he left on Friday and returned on Friday his mode of Transport was called Friday. Could be a horse!

Friday was the name of his ride ( horse, car, truck, motorbike you can get the idea).

I think it revolves around the international dateline, or the vessel he travelled on is names Friday

He twice crossed the international date line

His horse is named Friday

His transport was named Friday.

He went away on 3 seperate Fridays

He went on three Fridays and returned on same day

Hi Maddie,
John went away on a horse or donkey or transport vehicle named Friday and returned back after three days.

Oops, apologies for the spelling error. We meant to say, “He left ON a Friday and returned on a Friday.” We are really sorry about that! Regardless, a fair few of you still managed to get the answer correct: Friday was the name of his horse! So well done members! You lot are true riddle masters. For those of you who got it correct, we’ve given you a shout-out below.

Maddie,
Just to be a pain.
Thought I would point out the incorrect grammar in your apology.
You can't say " He left on A Friday and returned on A Friday."
The correct grammar would be "He left on Friday and returned on Friday"

Alan
