A doctor gives you three pills and tells you to take one every half hour. How long do the pills last?

1hr..one now, one in 1/2 an hour, and the last one 1/2 an hour later
 
If you take 1 immediately, just over 1 hour ie. 1 minute, 31 minutes, 1 hour 1 minute. If you leave first one till late, just under an hour and a half ie 29 minutes, 59 minutes, 1 hour 29 minutes. It's then up to your digestive system as to how long they last in your body. But is there some tricky twist in the question?
