Riddle Masters 03.06.2022

Good morning Riddle Masters! :)

I’ve got your third and final riddle of the week courtesy of member Suzi H. Thank you so much Suzi for sending this one!

Magician Mephisto Mountebank has devised an ingenious way of arranging seven matches so that they equal the number 1221. “ I neither bend them nor break them,” he says proudly. How is it done?

Ooooo this is a tough one, isn’t it? 🤔 Well, have a good, long, hard think about this one and if you think you know the answer, post it in the comments below!

As always, our ‘spoiler’ button will hide yours and others’ answers. To reveal these answers, simply click the ‘spoiler’ button! But do your very best not to cheat…

Good luck and Happy Riddle-ing! ;)

Using Roman Numerals X 11 11 1

A number of people want X 11 11 1 - this does not equal 1221: MCCXXI does!

However VII\III will work : (trinary system) where 1 (27) 2(2x9) 2(2X3) 1 = 52\ten!
(I like being divergent: the easiest answer is III X II!)
