Restaurants very own GST​

Recently after we visited Gradi 400 a up market Italian Restaurant on a Sat evening we discovered that they had charged us
a 10% "Saturday Surcharge"
This new charge was not listed on their web page nor on the email we received back from them confirming our booking, just a note informing us if we were late a $25 per person fee would be charged.

We totally understand that most restaurants are struggling but seriously be open and honest with your customers !

Nothing was said to us about this extra fee when ordering our meal.

Sunday morning i sent them a email and received back a few hours later an apology saying that they were sorry for the "Miss understanding" and the fee was on their web site (and it is now)

One would think that $45 and $16 was enough for a bowl of spaghetti and a small bowl of chips ?

I seem to remember that was a normal occurrence on a Saturday night. In saying that, when I eat at a restaurant, I also order something that I don't make at home. So therefore, I wouldn't be paying that amount for spaghetti and chips.
