Red Tulip After Dinner Mints
Who remembers these? They were practically a prerequisite at every dinner party, or restaurant meal throughout the ‘70s and ‘80s. But Red Tulip didn’t invent after-dinner mints. The credit goes to Rowntree’s After Eight Mint Chocolate Thins, which originated in England and launched in 1962. Red Tulip followed suit, bringing their unique touch to Australian gatherings. Sadly, the company was taken over by Cadbury Schweppes in 1988, and in 2006, they ceased the production of these iconic treats. Do you have fond memories of these after-dinner treats?
