Let’s face it - keeping everything clean and neat at home can be a little overwhelming. Sometimes, it almost feels like the mess is never going to end – but the trick is to take things one task at a time and stay on top of things.
One professional organiser, Caroline, revealed nine handy home tips on her TikTok account that’ll definitely help declutter your home in only a few minutes. She laid down a list of effortless tasks that make all the difference to your living space.
First, she recommends peeling the stickers off bananas (or any other fruits) to “visually declutter” your fruit bowl. She applies a similar concept for the next three tips – advising viewers to place labels beneath storage containers, remove “loud packaging” from products, and use clear bottles to store hand soaps and dish soaps in order to achieve a neater aesthetic.

Then, she suggests storing less frequently used utensils in a nearby drawer to clear benchtops and cupboard spaces. In addition, she also encourages her followers to stow away winter accessories in a bin and to hide unsightly cables and cords inside a cable organiser.
Caroline's eighth tip from the clip was simple and she said "place labels facing the wall" so they aren’t visible and visually unappealing.
Finally, she suggests investing in a pull out bin. In doing so, you can keep (typically out of place looking) garbage cans out of sight.
Tiktok users adored Caroline’s home hacks and swarmed the comments section to express their awe.

“You always have the greatest ideas!” praised one person.
“These are under-appreciated but make a HUGE difference!” said another.
“Love your tips!” added a third.
Caroline’s first set of tips was so well-received by viewers that she decided to share a couple more decluttering hacks in a follow-up video.
She starts by reminding viewers to "straighten out slightly crooked picture frames." before suggesting they use multi-purpose furniture — such as your TV unit —to tuck away items.
Caroline went on with her decluttering spree by tossing away papers, such as old bills displayed on her fridge that were no longer needed.

Then, she suggests packing away items you don't use often — like that mortar and pestle — to get a little more kitchen bench space.
The TikToker said that a good way to keep your space looking "streamlined" was to use identical-looking storage bins and to only pick "a few accent colours to prevent colours from clashing."
With these easy tips, you can get your home looking its best in no time!
