Royal couple Prince William and Kate Middleton stunned the crowd as they attended the inaugural Earthshot Prize Awards at the Alexandra Palace which happened in London on Sunday.
The global environmental initiative was launched by Prince William last year. The event name, Earthshot, was inspired by U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s 1962 “Moonshot” speech, which encouraged Americans to support moon exploration.

Kate Middleton wore a flowing lilac-hued gown with a jewelled gold belt. Royal commentator Robert Johnson noted that the Alexander McQueen dress was previously worn by her at the 2011 BAFTA Brits to Watch event in Los Angeles.
Prince William, on the other hand, donned a velvet green blazer. Like his wife, he recycled the look as well, reportedly wearing the bold blazer back in 2019 at Centrepoint’s 50th-anniversary charity gala, reported by royal commentator Alison Eastwood.
Prior to the event, organisers asked attendees to "consider the environment when choosing their outfit".
Actresses Emma Thompson and Emma Watson, and British actor David Oyelowo also joined the Duchess of Cambridge in handing out the awards at Alexandra Palace in North London.

The Earthshot Prize was described as “the most prestigious global prize for the environment in history”, according to The Royal Foundation and Prince William himself.
After performances from various artists such as Coldplay and Korean boyband BTS, the Duke of Cambridge began his speech and gave a stark reminder that “time is running out” to tackle climate change, adding: “The actions we choose or choose not to take in the next ten years will determine the fate of the planet for the next thousand.”
“The future is ours to determine, and if we set our minds to it, nothing is impossible.”
Prince William closed the event by announcing that next year's Earthshot event would be held in the United States - where his brother Prince Harry lives with Meghan Markle.
