POWER BILLS
In 2023 we switched from natural gas to all electric. Thanks to our solar panels (installed 5-10 years ago) we had nothing to pay on our last bill and even put some electricity into the grid. This is despite running our evaporate air conditioner almost every day December to February, and our refrigerated air systems (two bedrooms and daily living area – kitchen, family area, games room) several times.
With the government assistance funding in many WA postcodes, it pays seniors to install solar panels which begin to pay for themselves in lower bills initially, eventually having nothing to pay.
