I had major jaw surgery a few years ago and couldn't chew at all. I wasn't limited to room temperature food, but I remember eating pureed stewed fruit with custard or yogurt, scrambled eggs, pumpkin soup, pureed cooked vegetables (such as potato, pumpkin, carrot, zucchini) and tinned spaghetti.
Wishing you all the best for a complete and speedy recovery.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Most of them I have tried, with varying degrees of success. Having had most of my teeth taken out as well, and a mouthful of stitches I have to be extra careful. For the moment I have lost the ability to suck so using a straw is out of the question.

Thank you all also for your best wishes, They have helped me enormously as I battle this dreadful disease. ❤️
Get well soon Ricci - prayers are with you

I have just read this morning seniors discount email and found this story I would like to make a suggestion.
Make a pot of home made vegetable soup with a beef bone or something of your choice add plenty of vegetables a packet of liquid beef stock roughly chop vegetables when they are soft use a stick mixer to cut them all to make a thick broth. If you want to remove the bones if there is meat on them cut it off add to the pot use the hand mixer to chop it all up, you are left with a thick broth with everything in it you require.

I usually make all my own soups and stews but they are really not very apetising when only luke warm and you can't have bread to dunk!

I've been getting my veggies by putting them in milkshakes, who knew cauliflower and fruit were quite tasty together!

Post Mouth Surgery Food Suggestions

Good morning dear members! ❤️

One of our beloved members has recently undergone a massive surgery in her mouth, impacting everything from her jaw, to her lips, tongue etc. As a result, she can only eat very soft foods over the new few days at ROOM TEMPERATURE. I was talking to her on the forum, and she was telling me she is sick of jelly, yoghurt and melted ice cream. She also told me she isn't a fan of luke warm soup (understandably!).

Does anyone have any suggestions on what she could eat? That would be room temperature, soft and hopefully also enjoyable? Maybe you know of a soup recipe that tastes better at room temperature? Or maybe you've been through a similar surgery and have some personal suggestions!

Thank you so much for your help, I know this dear member will really appreciate it ❤️
Mashed potato and gravy ( i make it with fried onions but as there has been major surgery I'd leave out the onions perhaps and maybe some mashed green peas for an additional vegetable be.. tasty anyway.

I suggest Avocado smoothie (add condensed milk to avocado, mix them well together by a blender stick then add A2 milk then blending again. This is a very nice drink. Hope you like it.
