Playing Cricket

Remember playing cricket out in the backyard with the sun beating down and the laughter of your friends filling the air? Those were the days when all you needed was an old 44-gallon drum, an apple crate, a worn-out bat, and a trusty tennis ball to keep you entertained for hours. It was so much fun, even when we battled against the washing flapping on the line. And when the sun began to set, and the streetlights came on, it was time to go inside for dinner. Do you have fond memories of playing cricket with your mates?

Our old neighbours across the lane fenced off the front half of their block and left the back yard open for all the neighbourhood kids to play cricket and football.
We played until dark.

Yes!! Where did we get the energy? Missed playing until dark with the neighbourhood kids.

Your post brought back some great memories of playing cricket with my friends too. We used to play with whatever equipment we could find, and it was always a blast. I remember trying to hit the ball over the neighbor's fence or into the bushes just for the fun of it. I'm new to this forum, but I'm glad to see people sharing their experiences and memories. Tbh, now all I do about cricket is cricket betting. We couldn't do it when we were kids, so I'm glad I can do it now. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story.
