we currently have 2 in the cups draw ....
and 14 in reserve.

We never had them when I was growing up, but now I see them in the op shop’s in the antique stores. They definitely stand out amongst all of the other vintage cups.

I have my mother's set of six from home. They were a wedding gift from one of her good friends sixty-nine years ago. We have used them in our home since my mother passed away and we are still using them today. When I was a kid everyone had these mugs.

25 years on we still use them.

If you are looking for them on line, they were manufactured by Fire King in the 70's and imported from USA. When growing up on a fruit farm, we had these cups for the workers for morning and arvo tea - tea always tasted better in these cups. Fond memories of my youth.
I used to have a second hand store and these mugs were always in demand. Did not get a lot of them but when I did, they sold very quickly.

Had my very first Australian coffee in one of those the day I arrived in Australia. Mug ok though would have preferred a cup, but then the beverage was not real coffee, more brownish coloured water . Looked around coffee shops and located a"n impressive "gleaming red expresso machine...hurrah civilisation
