Peach and Yoghurt Surprise

This Peach And Yoghurt Surprise recipe is one healthy dessert for seniors, and it's easy to make too! It's perfect if you're craving something sweet but want to stay fresh and healthy.


Here are the ingredients you will need:

1 can of peaches

2 cups of plain Greek yoghurt

2 tablespoons of soft brown sugar

Start by straining the syrup from the can of peaches before adding them to your serving dish. This will ensure that the dessert isn't too sweet and that you're only getting the natural flavour of the peaches and not any added sugar.

Then, layer the bottom of the dish with the strained peaches and set them aside.

Now you can add the yoghurt on top of the layer of peaches, followed by sprinkling the sugar over the yoghurt for the finishing touch.

You can leave the dessert like this for around 15 to 30 minutes, allowing the sugar to melt over the yoghurt, producing a caramel-like syrup that will sweeten the dish.

So basically this is just peaches with Greek yoghurt.
Throw out the juice because you don’t need the extra sugar and sweetness but then add sugar to replace the sweetness you just disposed of.

That's not 'cooking' 😜lol. Rather than peaches in syrup use peaches in natural juice, no added sugar there. I often have fruit with Greek Yoghurt and a little bit of 100% Pure Canadian Maple Syrup drizzled over that is a healthy and yummy alternative to sugar ☺
