Today's Trivia:
Hydrogen hydroxide is the common name for water.

That's it folks, we have been lied to for five thousand years!! WATER is not the COMMON name for water.
How about a drink? Scotch and hydrogen hydroxide. Think of the labeling: A bottle of sparkling Hydrogen hydroxide.

Rubbish ! The proper name is dihydrogen monoxide

Good one!

Elaborate student pranks have been played out using the proper term for water. When told that dihydrogen monoxide was a chemical that causes thousands of deaths every year world wide several thousand people signed a petition in Queen St Mall to ban it. How gullible !! And the scary thing is that these people vote.

They not only vote but they most likely breed as well!

very. More people are killed every year by this chemical than fires, volcanoes, asteroid impacts, falling off ladders, snakebite, food poisoning, alcohol intake, dancing, and orgasms

I'll see your Rubbish and raise you two rubbishes,

The common name for dihydrogen monoxide is water. Dihydrogen monoxide is the scientific name for water, but it's rarely used.

Other names for water include: hydric acid, dihydrogen oxide, hydronium hydroxide, and hydrogen hydroxide.

Water is a transparent, odorless, inorganic compound and liquid. It has a chemical formula of H2O, a melting point of 0°C (32°F), and a boiling point of 100°C (212°F).

The term "dihydrogen monoxide" has been used in a hoax to scare people who are not scientifically knowledgeable. The hoax involves listing negative effects of water while using the unfamiliar scientific name, and then asking people to help control the substance. The hoax was created in 1989 by Eric Lechner, Lars Norpchen, and Matthew Kaufman while they were attending UC Santa Cruz.

If you think that dihydrogen monoxide is rarely used then how common is the usage of your synonyms? As for your melting points, freezing points and boiling points these are not constant values

Now children, play nice🤣

I firmly agree with banning dihydrogen monoxide.

But only when mixed with other fluids, like Whisky, Rum, Bourbon, Vodka, Etc. That's a filthy habit, not to be tolerated.

I'm not drinking anything with a Ph of 7 !!!!!!

Don't rubbish them, your name is one of several, one being Hydrogen hydroxide among a few others!
