I've got drafts for two short science fiction stories. One on global warming, semi fictional and based on chemistry, while the other is about the perils of travelling back in time.
How good is that. Time travelling has always intrigued me. I often wished I could go back to certain times in my life for just one day at a time

All I have done so far is nearly completed a cookbook which will be for family and friends and a couple of people on here

I give you the bare bones of the time travel one.

Time travel was developed to the extent that well to do people could take a guided tour of a past event. A group of people wanted to see dinosaurs of the Jurassic era in the flesh. Platforms that hovered off the ground were used so not to disturb the ground and vegetation.

So off they travelled back 180 million years. When they arrived, a huge dragonfly landed on the arm of one of the participants who swatted it and squished into the deck of the platform.

After a couple of hours, the group arrived back to the present time. Not all was what it once was.

When they disembarked the platform, the clocks on the observation deck only had 10 numbers instead of 12. The signage on the terminal was written in German and Japanese. In the terminal, everyone spoke German and were dressed strangely.

With a few passengers, the penny dropped. The Axis powers had secured victory in World War II.

The moral of this story is don't mess with the past because it will come back to mess with you more than you could imagine.

The full draft is fleshed out with characters but you get the gist. The story was inspired by a dream I had over 40 years ago except I was taken by the jaws of a Brontosaurus. I know - my mind is beyond warped!
