I remember going to see Mary Poppins in Brighton England when I was 10 ..Quite an adventure and we just loved it and spent the next few days singing all the songs. It was the first musical that really appealed to adults and children alike.

My favourite Mary Poppins song is "Let's Go Fly a Kite". It' so uplifting and reminds me of when primary school music lessons were the whole class sitting at desks and singing printed lyrics from the radio or musicals ... no movement or instruments in these lessons like today, but still my favourite time of the week.

Still sing these songs now from time to time & including "Let's go & fly a kite". Sung at the end when the manager realises there is more in life than just working, takes time off work & takes his family out to fly a kite.

Such memorable film for any age. Thankyou @Suzanne rose for raising the topic.
