Hi everyone, my wife and I have both just retired. We’ve joined this forum to learn from and hopefully help others to make the most of it
Welcome! We hope you get lots of value from this community :) What were your occupations before retiring?

I started an electrical apprenticeship when I was 16 and have worked in the construction trade most of my life. My wife went back to work after our youngest daughter began grade 2 and has worked as an office administrator for the last 30 years before we both retired a couple of weeks ago

It must be crazy having so much downtime after such long careers! Do you have a bucket list of things you'd like to do now that you're retired?

We’re both pretty busy at the moment with setting things up for retirement but when that’s all done we will have plenty of free time. We plan to travel Australia and finally have a delivery date for the caravan we ordered over a year ago. I plan on getting to the golf course more often and my wife’s keen to get along also. It certainly is a huge life change so we’re planning to stay active and busy but by doing things we enjoy
