It was formulated when I was called up for Conscripted National Service of two years in the Army during the Vietnam War, as I was a good card player and often called Black Bart the Card Sharp, which was shortened to just Black Bart from the Bart Maverick western cowboy TV show. I was in Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RAEME), servicing Tanks, APC's and so on. I still have many mates up to today referring to Black Bart. I am a Qualified Mechanical Engineer. Hope that answers your enquiry.
