New Aldi toy receives hilarious responses from Aussie mums: “Pure gold!”

As part of their pre-Christmas toy sale this Saturday, Aldi just released a new Toy Supermarket, one that recreates their checkout with groceries for young kids to play with.
The official website proclaims it as “everything to play shopkeeper”.
The toy comes with more than 44 accessories, including various groceries and an electronic cash register.
But mums nationwide also noticed the humour when they compared the toy with the actual shopping experience at the store.

In a Facebook post, one mum jokingly wrote, “Have to admit... I am a little disappointed with the Aldi checkout in the latest catalogue. It does not have the launching ramp after the scanner that launches your groceries at you at 100kms.”
“This is just a slight misrepresentation of your checkouts, Aldi,” she added.
Others were quick to catch the humour and added their own comments.
“Honestly, this is your soft Australian version here; I get bored,” another quickly responded.
“I'm from Germany, like Aldi. They're not scared there to give you a good tin of tomato soup to the head if you can't catch it quick enough.”
“It's like an Olympic sport.”
“Seems legit. My kids throw things at me all the time. Same as the Aldi check out person,” quipped another mum.
Other Facebook members thanked the post for bringing humour into the group.
“This made me laugh so much, thank you,” one said.
“This post is pure gold!” wrote another.
One kindergarten teacher even shared her experience with her kids noticing how quick the Aldi staff are with their jobs, saying: “I work as an Educator and a couple of years ago one of the kindy graduates said ‘When I grow up, I want to be faster than the Aldi lady.’”
Even an Aldi staff member caught wind of the humorous post, and they confirmed they did not take offence from it. Instead, they were getting a laugh out of the Facebook post as well.
“I work at Aldi and love it when people say things like this. It gives me a good belly laugh,” the Aldi worker commented.
Other members added that Woolworths also had a mini supermarket available in-store, adding fuel to the Aussie mini-supermarket toy wars.
“Now casually waiting on Coles to bring their version out haha,” joked another mum.
One thing’s for sure; it’s only a matter of time! Which side of the ‘supermarket toy war’ are you: Aldi, Woolies, or Coles?
